Two years ago I got sold on a $5,000 FB Ads coaching program.

The guy running it (who I won't name) claimed to be a multi-millionaire. He spoke VERY fast and was a great salesman.

At the time, I had a full-time Marketing job, but I'd always considered myself a generalist. I'd been in the space for 10+ years and knew everything there was to know from a broad picture perspective, but I could never justify calling myself an expert in any ONE thing.

So I wanted to become an expert and FB ads felt like the right path. Plus, I'd tried dropshipping in the past and hadn't had much success. I felt this NEED to prove to myself that I could do it.

The guy who sold me the source probably IS a millionaire, but that's not the point.

Look, he knows FB ads inside and out, which is how I learned the craft...it's how I get to call myself an EXPERT today. So I'm grateful for that. It taught me what I needed to know in order to do the following:

✅ Create a Campaign (understand the difference between campaigns, ad groups, and ads)
✅ Learn key campaign features (like ideal audience size and structure)
✅ Understand algorithmic audience targeting techniques based on various factors (i.e. location, interest, and other demographic elements)
✅ Learn how to write copy that will attract and convert!
✅ See examples of creatives that WORK! (most importantly, understand WHY)
✅ Create & Save custom audiences, including Lookalikes for retargeting
✅ What TOP, MOF, and BOF campaigns look like and how they're different

Here's what it didn't address...

and it's something that happens ALL THE TIME...

It did NOT address what to do when your Facebook profile, ad account, or BM gets BANNED.

And the reason why this matters is that it happens to almost EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. US.

(Plus, truth be sold, it didn't teach me what to do when it came time to scale. Which is part of the reason why I ran into trouble when I got there.)

FACT: I MADE $10,000 IN SHOPIFY SALES MY FIRST MONTH!

But, then I got stuck.

The algorithm flagged my winning product and winning video even though all I was selling was a...

DRUM ROLL...

A Flashlight.

Yep, a flashlight.

I was selling a flashlight for $29.99 and the video started out with a guy on a motorcycle USING the flashlight as he was riding through an unpaved path at night. So it lit up really bright.

The algorithm mistook that as a flash/weapon of some sort.

So you can imagine what happened next...

I got banned. My ads. My Ad Account. My entire personal profile, in fact.

All of the momentum I was building after those $10k in sales where I truly was about to scale to $100k/month led to an absolutely soul crushing fall from grace.

I was stopped dead in my tracks.

So I went to the guy that I bought the program from hoping he'd have some answers and guidance, because he was supposed to be my mentor...

All I got were crickets.

In truth, I took some time away. I needed it to recover. This was a painful experience.

Here I am 2 years later to share my story with others because I don't want them to feel what I felt. To know what it's like to have all of that momentum crash and burn and be left with what felt like nothing in return.

Not only that, but I have since figured out how to navigate this very problem. It's not something you can just google to find out, either. You need to know the right people. You need to know who you can trust.
